Cactus

Tonight I was fixing my computer, and while that I painted this cactus I have on my desktop.

It was good to do some different exercises in between the current projects, it's kind of a new air.

Darth 'El chingon' Vader

So I've been doing these weekly challenges with my friends, were we put a random subject to sketch on, and this week we worked on 'Darth Vader'; and I definitely wanted to paint something in low key, so was the perfect time to approach it that way.
In the other hand, the mexican style is something I never use, so I dared myself to mixed them and see what happend.
Im really glad with the results!

Family Trip

I traveled with my family last weekend so while we chill, I practice painting them, they laughed because they were watching a movie and suddenly I screamed "Don't move ! I'm painting you" and they couldn't be no longer relaxed.
Pretty good weekend, full of energy again !

I did this portrait with no other goal than practice observational drawing, but I liked how the expression was captured and decided to take it to the next level and render it.

 It is based on a photograph I found at thesartorialist.

Values

It's been a while since I use a brush (a real one), and I felt like I really need to do some stuff out of the computer, with no excuses of keep learning and DO THINGS -I mean doing whatever it takes to get what you want-. So I start again cause is never a bad time to improve yourself.

This time I did two value studies with gouashe each one 40 mins aprox.
